Melissa Hodgins

Education: 

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of California, Davis and went on to get her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco State University.  Research at UCSF/SFSU included developing clinical tools for assessing body mechanics with lifting and keyboarding in elementary school children.

Personal: 

Melissa is a California licensed Physical Therapist, and Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).  She is the coordinator of clinical education for physical therapy interns as well as massage therapy students in the Stanford Sports Medicine Center.  Melissa is currently the Physical Therapist assigned to work with the Stanford men's and women's swimming & diving teams, men’s and women’s water polo, and synchronized swimming. Melissa enjoys participating in outdoor activities like skiing, kayaking, rafting, backpacking, scuba diving, road and mountain biking, volleyball, and pursuing new travel experiences.
